How It Works
Square-Immune® is topically applied to a hidden spot under your arm and it causes an immune response in your skin—the same immune response as poison ivy, which is called a
Type IV immune response. Poison ivy and Square-Immune® both basically trick your body into thinking that your skin is a foreign object and mounting an immune response against your own skin.
That may sound bad, but it resets your whole immune system. We evolved to encounter things like poison ivy on a regular basis, so our bodies are adapted to that. Now we live these sterile indoor lives and shelter our immune systems from every challenge. The result is weak and confused immune systems that don't know how to fight a real virus and instead attack our own bodies orharmless substances and cause allergies and autoimmune diseases.
The active ingredient in Square-Immune is squaric acid dibutyl ester (SADBEâ„¢).
We have found in clinical trials that Square-Immune shifts the immune response against the herpes virus that causes cold sores and genital herpes (herpes simplex virus or HSV) from a Type-2 immune response based on antibodies to a Type-1 immune response based on T cells. T cells are the cells depleted in AIDS, so that tells you how important they are. They are much more effective than antibodies.
The result is 60% fewer cold sore outbreaks (and the fewer outbreaks that happen are less severe).
But the mechanism of action is not specific for cold sores or the herpes virus. Square-Immune just improves immune function.
